can only get to some sites

Hey there,

In ottawa and I'm only able to get to a small number of sites. Google.ca rogers.com dslreports.com are loading. Facebook.com and many others do not load. When pininging facebook.com it resolves the address so it's not dns, I've tried static dns just in case with no change. Calling support wasn't much help. Other sites not working are netflix and I'm unable to sign into wow or psn network.

Is anyone else having similar issues??

Sounds like you might be having issues with sites that are HTTPS at least www.netflix.com is HTTPS. I would check to see if your firewall is not blocking port 443 and try a different browser if you have not already... One neat trick you can try is open a command window Start->Run->cmd.exe. Then from the command window type telnet www.netflix.com 443 and then hit the enter key. If you get a blinking cursor and that all its not your firewall. Highly don't think its your router. Try a different browser and the telnet command. Post back.

The issue was happening on all my devices, blackberry, android tablet, ps3, desktop and laptop. Went ice fishing, came back and now all is well. my guess ice fishing fixed the problem. Thanks for the responses
