Re: Diaz vs. Condit

I've been following the ESPN updates on my mobile device.....

Feb 7th: update that White had tweeted that there was agreement for a Condit - Diaz rematch

Feb 8th: manager of Diaz says there will be no rematch with Condit

Feb 9th: Diaz tests positive for marijuana (story)

Feb 10th: who knows?

He has a medical marijuana license in California. He takes it for his social anxiety disorder. The Athletic commissions do not acknowledge it as permissible though. Go figure. The Athletic Commission allows dan Henderson to take Testosterone because of his low T though. Which gives you an advantage?

I didn't know he had a legit use for it.

Aren't there other meds for his condition? If he knows that athletic commissions do not approve it, then he should seek alternatives...

Imagine if he did win vs Condit, then got disqualified because of this. He would have fucked the UFC yet again.

However if the UFC knows about it, and I suspect they do, they they should be to blame as well.

He believes in natural homeopathic stuff. He has said believes drugs like Ritalin and antidepressants do more harm than good. I suffer from general anxiety and take meds for it so I agree he should probably take something approved by the Athletic commissions. But I don't smoke weed so I can't comment on it's effectiveness. But if it works for him and he believes other drugs are bad then who am I to say what he should be doing.
