[OS X] OS X, Parallels, & Win 7 on new drive

I have SL, with Parallels 6 and Win 7 Pro installed.

I want to replace my existing disk drive with a larger capacity drive, install Lion, and get FileVault 2 running on the new drive before I move all my apps & data from SL.

a) What's the collected wisdom as to how to best do this?
b) Will I will have to re-authenticate Win 7 once this done?
c) If I upgrade to Parallels 7, should I do that solely on Lion, or should I upgrade before I migrate from SL?

Thanks of any thoughts.

a. Easiest way is get an external case or adapter for your old drive, install the new one, and then clone the old drive onto the new one. Do an upgrade install of Lion, then activate FV2.

If you're against upgrade installs, still get the case/adapter, install the new drive, do a clean install of Lion, then use the Migration Assistant on first startup to move over your data from the old drive. There's really no benefit to activating FV2 before moving everything over.

b. If you copy over the entire Parallels virtual machine, you shouldn't have to do anything to Windows 7.

c. If you do a clean install of Lion, you'll have to reinstall Parallels either way, so it's up to you.
