So I ran my address as well as spoke to a rep to install u-verse 12mb but no tv or phone is available. Why is this and is it going to change because I would love to get uverse tv
I'll give it a try but 100/5 from charter seems very tempting. I tried and love the TV and would dump cable for uverse tv in a second.
Any reason why this is possible or if they are going to upgrade the Sparks NV 89431 zip code?
I obviously don't know your exact address but I did look up one from an apartment in that zip code and Uverse TV/Internet/Phone was available. It could be that where you live just happens to be just to far to get a good signal to your home(Your length from your local DSLAM). It may be enough to power out a 12mbit/1.5mbit line to you, but may not be able to support much more than that. TV requires you have about 10-20mbit of headroom(depending on the number of HD streams max 4, there around 5mbps each). For example, I have the Max Internet package with speeds of 12mbit/1.5mbit also but my modem has a Profile of 32mbit/5mbit(for the additional IPTV traffic). I would call and talk to a tech, or maybe get a tech out to read your signals and get the story straight, as it could also just be a mistake. -- Join The Fight against Media Censorship www.blackthisout.com
reply to djhexer There are two different kind of Uverse internet. One is ADSL2+ and other one is VDSL. ADSL2+ offered up to Max plus (18mbps) and no tv nor phone. VDSL2 offered Internet up to Max Turbo(23mbps) with TV and phones. Look like ur home is connected by ADSL2+. So you cant get TV or phone.
Also Freakout is right, you should call At&t and let them verify your address and see what happen. Good luck!
I just know that uverse was never available and then today they said the Internet is now up to 24 (got 12 cause I don't want to pay 150 for install to get the max)
That would suck if I only have ADSL vs VDSL cause I LOVE how uverse can change channels on a do,e unlike charter digital cable which the moto boxes take 15 sec or more to lock in a signal.
