You probably would get more help if you had made a separate post for this... |

Re: [Need Info] WIN 7 'Tips and tricks' No problem Lil, thanks.
I made the mistake of renaming the file for ease of use, good try art22gg but the one I'm thinking of is more typical of the base classic XP Explorer search, rather than a replacement desktop. The woman who made it worked for MS; this was about three years ago.
WIN 7 is a lot less trouble than Any previous OS, however it tends to make one a bit lazy as there is no real work to be done.
As I'm off to NZ Tuesday, it may be a wee bit before connecting back, so 'Thanks' in advance if anybody remembers how to get that file. Maybe I give Lil a homework assignment, eh.[~sic] On return I'll be building a new system and don't want to do that without having access to the file that is now lost.
EDIT: Found on a recover disk -01/6/10 Explorer [ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043EO1C]

1 edit | You bet, that was the smartest move possible,eh.
The only absent item that WIN 7 was missing and she did a damn good job, releasing that from the inside!
At the time I was inpatient and didn't spend sufficient time in acknowledging a job well done; there are a small handful of people who do their job well, and ten more that don't give a shit. This item was right up there with major Kudo's, so it would be CoOl to get her name listed for posterity.
EDIT: why do I have all this time, but no time left at all!
