Crystal Lake, IL | Porting phone number question and Caps I currently have Comcast with digital voice. I am about to order Uverse in my new house and am not sure if it will work. When I moved in, our house did not pre-qualify. I suspect that I pre-qualify now with pair bonding.
I'm thinking that just in case it doesn't work, I should *not* port my number when I order the service, just get a new number and port my number after a successful install.
So my question is if I go to port the number after the install, how long can I expect it to take (from Comcast)? Also, does anybody know how long I need to leave Comcast turned on after I start the porting to make sure I don't lose my number?
