[Internet] Worst We Have Ever Had

Was sent flyer in the mail to sign up for DSL at 35.99. Called on Jan. 4 was told Jan 12 for hookup, called when no one showed and told no it would be Jan. 19, no one showed, called told no it would be Jan 23, no one showed,called ,told no it would be Jan 26, guy showed said be back Jan 27, came back said you have service left.
NO SERVICE, called said would be here Feb 2 or 3 ,showed Jan 30 said had not been tied down in CO.
Got bill in mail today for 95.95.
One: Was promised two hour window on hookup in flyer and then online. No such service from this company.
Two: Was told 35.99 in mailed flyer that started all this and then online at this website »frontier.com/products/ProductOve···=1&p=663 and on the phone ,with an additional 6.99 for a modem I do not want to lease but have to if you want service. Modem idea is a farce of course, just another cash cow for the company ,thing is a 8.99 wholesale Westell that probably then nets them about eight or nine hundred dollars over the life of it.
Three: Service has been down three times in the five days it was turned on and very rarely breaks 1MB down speed and today is slower down at 97kbs then the up speed of 256kbs.
Going back to Comcast as much as I hate to say it.

if you check out the link it appears they also have a lie built in to the modem to tell you a fake speed as it says we have 3.3 meg on the modem but dsl speed test says a lot less

Did you look at the transceiver statistics. Curious how many errors you are receiving.

If you think you'd like to keep the service it'd be worth posting your modem stats so people here can help. there may be a simple solution to your speed issue. Although after the way you were treated before the install no one could blame you for wanting to ditch them.

Sorry but we canceled after we got the $95.95 bill for the first month of service , called Comcast and they provisioned our modem in less than ten minutes.
After all I have had to say bad about Comcast in the past the service and response today was way beyond what we expected.
Only hope it continues

I have been going thru the same thing for more than three months. We still have not had anyone here to make the connection and drop off the router. Too many missed installs - no way to run a business but it works for a monopoly. We have no other wired choice.
