| Nope. You're comparing transfer speed against sync rate. Sync rate is the physical rate of the connection between the modem and the DSLAM. The speed test is everything from your PC to the testing server on the other end, affected by physical link speeds and routing capacity of the entire path to and from the server. |

| reply to don544 Nope. They will notice however degraded speeds and ask questions about it though! I'm simply the messenger giving information about what is being seen here, so now I'd like to troubleshoot this if you don't mind so we can get that to where it should be.
This isn't by any chance a correlating factor with the time of day that determines what speed you get on the line, is it? Basically, is it fast in the morning, slow in the afternoon and evening, and fast again past Midnight? |
