 | U-Verse - Screen Freezing Pixelation I've had U-Verse for well over a year. Never had any problems with the exception of an occasional brief moment of pixelation on a channel. Over the past two months there was an increase in the number of issues. One evening, the pixalation was on all channels and eventually the screen would freeze and then go to black. This was occurring on all channels and on all television sets in the home. For the past week the frequency has increased, especially in the afternoon but then will diminish. The past 24 hours it's been really bad. Last night the freezing was constant and then it started to diminish in the late evening and did not experience any issues until early this afternoon. Now back to square one again where it's not working at all. The connectivity screen appears at times, but home phone and internet are still working which are also on the same line...any input or know if this is relating to an issue with AT & T with the box that is on my corner that AT & T uses when connecting customers |

 | If on a coax install, go around and make sure everything is wrench tight, one loose connection can cause all kinds of havoc system-wide.

I called the 800 number on a Sunday morning, and went through the automated checking. The recorded voice told me that a tech would come to my house between 10AM and Noon that day (Sunday) to repair the issue. He showed up at around 10:30, checked the line outside at the NID, then inside at the RG. Went out to his van and got a new 3801 RG, and replaced the 3800 that we've had for the last 2 years. Got it connected, then checked the lines to the two TV's.
Back in service with no issues since. -- Mac |

 | reply to gt500krlover Place a service call and let them check your line out. Phone lines are in a harsh environment and can be damaged at any time. The only way to fix it is placing a service call. |
