Re: Fed up with my service said by GusHerb94:said by luke_:GusHerb94,
I noticed a posting you have in AT&T Direct about 32/5 profile. It doesn't appear to have been viewed. Did you ever get a response for this? I sent an email to uversecare@att.com and got an almost instant response, I am now on the 32/5 profile! my max attainable down is running at 41 megs, and 6 megs up. Andy in tier2 said he didn't recommend moving me up based on my history, but was more then happy to let me try it and see if it works for me, so that's what I'm doing, and so far so good. Congratulations! They told me basically the same thing---out of "normal" loop length for 32/5, line looks ok, we're happy to let you try 32/5. Unfortunately for me, the way that my account (on the billing side, not the tech side) is configured precludes the tech from enabling 32/5.
Hopefully I can get that sorted out. Even if it is, I'm not sure my line will actually take well to the 32/5 based on my UVRT bitloading graph, which has some interference at 1.427Mhz and a choppy download 2 band. Your post-service bitloading seems pretty clean. | | luke_ join:2012-01-04 Pittsburgh, PA | Well, the AT&T Direct people are magic. They put in an override to provision me to 32/5 and boost me to Max Turbo. Seems very stable at the moment. Great response from the team. | | | reply to GusHerb94
Looks like after a week and a half I had another link retrain, not that long ago. I wasn't using the internet at the time so I didn't notice. Only thing changed since the last guy was out was moving me up to 32/5, but my feeling tells me that this would have happened if I were still on 25/2 as well, and historically this is the same issue I've been having all along, where I will be smooth sailing with minimal corrected blocks, 0 uncorrected, then bam after around a week it will decide to have a ton of correcteds, uncorrecteds, and several errors all at once and then retrain.
Someone suggested from the last bitloading graph I posted that I may still have a bridge tap somewhere? Just for the record, my max attainable is still just a little bit lower then my neighbors on the same feeder cable (back to the VRAD) as me. Also, am I being picky or is it actually normal to have a link retrain every once in awhile? | |
