Free flexview rental upto $5.99

Anyone else get the popup message online that for a limited time one flexview rental of $5.99 or less is free?

Not sure if this was a targeted advertisement or to the entire base.

I guess because in the NY DMA , but all the Flex View rentals are $16.99 for me. $5.99 will not even cover half of a rental. I just don't understand why Verizon charges $16 for a movie when all the other companies charge $4.99-5.99 for a movie. I liked when I had DISH who had the $2.99 special for the last couple of weeks a movie was offered.

You sure as here in the NYC area all the rentals are $2.99-$9.99 with most HD being $5.99 and if you want to purchase a title they run $11.99+.

That is typically the purchase price.
All of the rentals I have seen are $4.99 $5.99 for HD.
Can get some older ones for $2.99

When I go on the Flex View page the offer pops up for us in VHO8.

Ditto for me in VHO8 but only with Internet Explorer. And when I click on it, it takes me back to the same page and keeps cycling round and round.

I don't see the pop-up window at all with Firefox and I don't see it on my Android phone...which is the device on which I'd want to watch the movie.

Yes I'm sure about the prices. The last 5 movies I considered were $16.99 FlexView with the non-Flex View rental $5.99. I searched endlessly for a $2.99 title and I could not find one. I think Verizon thinks they can just charge more in my area. It's a really stupid idea since with Dish I usually bought 2 or 3 movies a month. So far with Verizon which I've had for a little over 2 years I have yet to find a movie I feel is worth the high cost.

Heck in many cases I can go to the store and buy the DVD for less than $16.99!
