So, I'm going to change my ISP from Rogers to Distributel with the 24/1 plan then I'm gonna rent the said modem. What router should I buy to go with the modem? I'm hoping it would be less than or around $100.

You get what you pay for, so for about $100 you can get the ASUS RT-N16 which is a good router with high performance and throughput. I bought the $120 ASUS RT-N56U which has slightly better performance and adds features like USB ports for printers or network hard drives. It's been rock solid with 100% uptime and I've loaded it up as heavily as I could to try to stress it, but it handled everything easily.
Whatever you buy, make sure it has at least 100mbps WAN port or gigabit port as the modem is capable of peaks over 50mbps even on the 24/1 profile thanks to Rogers' Speedboost. The N56U that I bought has gigabit ports for both WAN and LAN...not sure about the N16 model.
You could always try out the router built into the DCM475 first too. It might be good enough for your needs.
