Just an FYI to anyone planning on getting Telus Turbo 25. Your upload is QOS capped at .75Mb/s. Not 2.5Mb/s. You will not get this speed no matter what so don't bother questioning it. The download is also capped at 21/2Mb/s but that doesn't matter as much because as long as it's reliable you should be happy.
I've confirmed this with a few techs and I'm on ETTS so it's not a line profile issue / congestion / whatever. It's telus. Blatantly lying or mis-representing on the website.
I don't even really care about the whole 2.5 bullshit but it's just sad when they say you'll get up to 2.5 and then it NEVER goes over .75. When I say never I mean it has NEVER gone over. Not once. Probably a hundred speed tests. Not once.

instead of posting lies under anonymous username. You should call Tech support. You are on the wrong Qos profile. That's all. Easy fix.

I'd say escalate escalate escalate (if you haven't already). Maybe there is something up with the particular ETTS hardware you are connected to, and the upload profile hasn't been set right?

He's also using Speakeasy for speed tests. That site is notoriously unreliable, hence the reason everyone moved to speedtest.net ages ago. |
