 | Fastest ISP in Toronto at the moment? Fastest upload? I was wondering what the fastest download and upload speeds in Toronto were at the moment for residential and widely available service? Im currently on the Rogers 50mbit thing but I am looking into finding something with a faster upload speed. |

There is no 3rd party that is currently offering 50/2 cable internet but there a few resellers offering 25/7, such as; TekSavvy and Velcom. |

| reply to janon If money's not much of an issue, keep MLPPP in mind as well. 2x25/7=50/14 all day every day, depending on who you sign up & set it up with. The cost for this shouldn't be *too* much greater than what you pay for the 50/2 from Rogers.
I guess you could do it with cable too, for 100/4 with a 500GB cap, but at $200/mo - and you'll get those speeds on weekday nights at 4AM when the wind's blowing the right way.
Maybe.
Cable tech imo isn't that bad, even today. As managed by Rogers though... good luck to you =)
You can also go with a VDSL 25/7 + Cable 24/1 package, pretty sure a few ISPs can do MLPPP over both; you probably won't get guaranteed speeds from the cable connection (except maybe on upload), but reliability will shoot up, and you'll have (at best) 49+ down and 8 up.
Single connection (for upload): VDSL 25/7 wins every time. |
