I'm thinking something like a softphone for your laptop, but in this case from a smartphone. |

As far as usage on a 4G network (vs wifi), that will vary some because there is some level of latency. From our experience with 4G connections, we've found that it's generally going to work well but since the connection fluctuates some there will occasionally be issues. |

 | reply to bbear2 IMO, Bria is the best SIP client for Android. Beware Verizon uses a SIP proxy that caused me to use a port other than 5060. Other than that, I get good results on 4G, but still prefer wifi. -- Lifespeed |

Will it register alongside with their ATA, or do you shut the ATA off?
Thx |

Both work at the same time. |

| reply to bbear2 I have had good success with using sip on my android phone via VOIPo, but the problem has been receiving or making calls using bluetooth when mobile. It looks like bluetooth and many SIP apps are not very friendly. Any suggestions? Csip Simple has so far been most reliable overall but I cant' answer or place calls on bluetooth, Using regular phone service the bluetooth works fine. |
