Of course, they were immediately branded as anti-Semitic.

How the heck did THAT work? :O

I believe the reason for that is CAT sells bulldozers to the IDF, who put heavy armour on them to bulldoze Palestinian homes to make way for settlements.
See pic: »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:D9R_r···r06a.jpg
and article here: »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDF_Caterpillar_D9

However, if the gov't had ANY balls, besides asking for their $5 million back, they could slap a hefty import duty on all CAT products. Don't know how that would work as there are no entries targeting specific manufacturers, in the Harmonized Code.

Excellent idea. Pressure your pension fund to only invest in companies that continue money-losing operations in their global divisions and subsidiaries. Soon such people could feel sublimely at peace that their money is invested in only kind, gentle (money-losing) companies. They will need to live on dog food as their retirement investments dwindle to nothing. But, hey, it's all about the greater good, right?

Actually it is.

This isn't a unique idea. Nor will people "live on dog food"

This is actually happening in Ottawa due to student pressure to remove all Israeli investments due to Israeli apartheid at Carleton U, and they are heavily invested in Israeli assets as many are.

These people were called all sorts of things, and those who supported them. But it seems it may happen.

Caterpillar is chump change in comparison and can be replaced.

So your eating dog food analogy is rhetoric.

hmmmm...sadly, your post is incorrect...the government didn't give CAT any money...none.
