I'm trying to setup a PHD device so our non-tech users can walk up to a server, attach a drive, press the button on the drive, and the backup files from the night before will be replicated to that drive.
I just need the button to launch a replicator program like Karen's Replicator.
Thanks. -- One Big Ass Mistake America |

"Make a perfect copy of a SATA hard disk with this external HDD duplicator and dock. Just drop a SATA drive into both of the dock slots... and press one button! Everything on the master disk is copied to the target, including operating system files and preference files... an exact clone! The dock can also be connected to any computer to act as a USB 2.0 plug-and-play external drive. Includes USB cable and AC adapter. Requires Microsoft Windows 2000+ or Mac OS 10.3+. Hard disks not included. Supports all 2.5" & 3.5" SATA disk drives LED duplication status meter Transfers files between drives and PC" -- Oh, no, not clown shoes. They mean I'm in for some mighty bad news. |

I just need the enclosure to have a button that will launch as replicator program to copy specified files to the drive. -- One Big Ass Mistake America |

It has "One Touch Backup" (a button on the adapter), but I don't know how much configuration ability it has, as I use another process to do the backups. If you want, I can install the OTB software and give it a peek.
Edit: I installed the software and it has quite a bit of ability for OTB backups. |
