 | HL2 Lost Coast/DM Is there still a way to get HL2 Lost Coast and DM without purchasing the $99.99 valve bundle? I already have HL2 installed, but only HL2. Just curious as I would like to play them again but not worth the price and Im not too concerned about many of the games in the bundle. Thanks a bunch! |

| Depends on which version of hl2 you have if DM is included or not. I thought lost coast was too. Search the steam store, there should be a way to buy games individually and not through a bundle.
quote: Half-Life 2: Lost Coast is a small additional level for the 2004 first-person shooter video game Half-Life 2. Developed by Valve Software, it was released on October 27, 2005, through the Steam content delivery service as a free download to owners of the Microsoft Windows version of Half-Life 2
you might just have to go in there and click install and download it, check your games page again. -- Here's the final bullet, to put our love to death. |

 | reply to aryarborough Tried that, looks like I can only buy HL2 Death match seperately but Lost Coast is only available in the bundle now. I guess unless I can one of those ATI coupons or whatever Im unable to get it. |

Lost Coast was merely a tech demo for enhancements to the Source game engine - HDR, and better water effects - but added nothing to HL2 story and contained nothing more than a few minutes of demonstration gameplay.
Just a very short graphics showcase and benchmark mode for HL2. Aside from being used purely as a benchmark it's pointless to install. |

 | reply to TK421 said by TK421:Lost Coast was merely a tech demo for enhancements to the Source game engine I got Lost Coast for free when I bought HL2 EP1. TK is right, it's a ten minute tech demo with maybe two small areas and one quick boss fight. Nothing wrong with that, but it's certainly nothing you need to see if you're into the Half Life story. |
