 | question from an old fogey I've got a question for the wise users of DSLReports. I'm just an old fella who is thinking about upgrading to a smart phone. I would be using it to check email and the occasional picture. No videos, streaming music or TV. How much data would I generally be using in a case like that? Just round figures. Just being curious. Thanks. |

| reply to Alderen Dirt I'll be happy to help a fellow fogey myself. I have the 2 GB plan and never come close to maxing it out. I could probably drop down to the 200 MB plan. I do some email and light browsing. -- "The stars are matter, we're matter, but it doesn't matter." |

| 200mb can be eaten up pretty quick depending on what apps you may install and how often you check email. A 2GB plan would be best. I don't know if verizon does the same but t-mobile charges for overages on the 200mb plan but not the 2GB plan, on the 2GB plan they just throttle you if you go over. |

My billing period ends in five days and I still haven't hit 75 MB's. Right now I'm tossing money away every month. -- "The stars are matter, we're matter, but it doesn't matter." |
