Rule #1 - It's my forum - I run it the way I see fit.
More Rules:
No Personal Attacks! Do not call other members names, even in jest. You may attack or dispute opinions and facts, but do so with facts and not by taking it to a personal level.
Be polite. The only person permitted intentional rude or smart-ass remarks is me. This is not a democracy - it is at best a benevolent dictatorship!
Keep it clean - this is a family site.
Keep it legal - no links to warez sites or to sites that promote copyright infringement of any type. And no "How to Un-Cap your cable modem posts" please. Do not ask how to get around any of the Mediacom rules - and definitely don't tell how to get around the rules.
Keep the discussions to things that directly relate to the Mediacom service Within Reason, We are supposed to be an Help forum, where people go and ask for help when they are having problems. If you are dissatisfied with the company in general, or have plans to drive it out of business, then the »Rants, Raves, and Praise forum is for you! Believe me, that's what it's there for.  . If you have a general question and are not sure what forum it should go in to, go ahead and post here and send me an Instant Message for assistance in getting it to where it should be. Friendly banter within a thread is normal and acceptable - but should not be the sole purpose of a thread. Keep the grandkid's pictures in your wallet!
Try to stay on topic within a thread. If you suddenly come up with a pressing question on another subject, start a new thread with it.
Start a new thread for unrelated posts. Do not start multiple threads for the same topic.
If you have a dispute with another member - remember the No Personal Attack rule. If you have a dispute with me, your only recourse is thru the site owner.
These rules are subject to change, additions or deletions based on my opinion. Check for changes every once in a while.
If you have a problem with any of these rules, see Rule #1 above.
