PToN join:2001-10-04 Houston, TX | Windows 2008R2 Domain and time sync Hello,
I have 2 Domain controllers, a few member servers and several client members. All the clients sync their times with the Domain, however, the member servers are out of sync.
Are all the members of a domain supposed to sync their time with the Domain? Or is this something i have to manually setup in 2008r2??
Thanks |

 | I've run into this before and used w32tm to make sure they are pointing at my DC. Not sure why they fall off, but it is easy to fix. -- How lucky am I to have known someone who is so hard to say good-bye to. |

In my previous 2003 domain all member server synced time with the DCs, i think i ll have to do it manually with the w32tm.
Thanks. |

PToN join:2001-10-04 Houston, TX | reply to PToN It's weird, MS docs say that the PDC emulator should, byt default, have the TIMESERV and/or GTIMESERV flags on; but mine didnt.
Sometime ago when i configured w32tm's peer list, i left /reliable:yes out so maybe that's why the flags werent on, i reissued the command and now the flags are ON.
