1 edit | 7232 - Spontaneous re-boots! Hi ALL,
Is anyone getting spontaneous re-boots on their 7232? I've been getting a few lately. A couple of times it happened right when I turned it off, one time it happened when I just told it to record a show that I had found with the search function and I even think it happened once when I just switched channels. Its not happening enough to get it swapped out but it has been an annoyance lately. I just wanted to see if anyone else was having re-boots.
My 7232 does have the 1.9 version of the interface which I've had for quite a while but I do not recall having any of the re-boots when I first got 1.9. The re-boots have been happening for aboout the last month or so and I've had 1.9 for several months.

Yes, it happens to me. 7232-2, Ver 1.9. I have previously enetered a ticket in the Verizon private forum with no resolution. I think that there is another thread on reboots in this one lately. Seems to be a widespread intermittant problem. |

When I went to turn mine on this morning, it went into a reboot, but so has my 6xxx box the last two mornings for some reason. And now, my internet is down (I'm at work but use a Slingbox to connect to home TV).
Internet has gone down twice in two days, I wonder if that is also causing the boxes to reboot? I am wondering it it has anything to do with my rearranging my living room? I moved the cable box and had to change the short white coaxial cable from the outlet that they installed and replaced it with a longer black one that was around the house. But there's no difference in those cables besides the color right? |

And I thought it was only me. Just happened again. It seems if I'm in the DVR Menu checking out what I want to watch, if I hit the exit button it reboots. Not always, maybe once a week.
And I agree, only began happening within the past month or so. |
