1 edit | [Info] Uses for old D-Link products. I have a few old DI-604's as spare routers. Is it possible to put another firmware on the router other than the standard D-link firmware? An example would be DD-WRT but I think that router is not supported. Would there be another project out there to try? |

 | reply to robman50 Is this your main router or you just looking to do something with it. It's getting kind of out dated. I suppose if Tomato or WRT isn't supported. I don't know of any other 3rd party FW developers. You still looking to keep using the router? |

 | My main router is an Netgear WNDR3700 which replaced my DI-624 because that thing failed (kept crashing, rebooting, dropping connections.) The 2 DI-604's that I have now are just spares. One is on my TV and bluray player acting as an 10/100 switch.
I also have an old DSM-320 media player. Can I somehow 'mod' that?
update: I change the topic and added my other old D-link products. |

Re: [Info] Uses for old D-Link products. Probably not if after market FW isn't supported. If they have WiFi then you could probably use them as APs and thats about it. |
