 | CNOC: What's the news? No drunks here :p |
So what is new with CNOC?
I headed over to the CNOC.ca webpage to see what is new with them.
They still have no policy, »cnoc.ca/pages/policy_statements.
So I checked out their "news releases" page, »cnoc.ca/pages/news_releases and I was awe struck. It seems they let some drunk person write on their webpage. I kid you not. This is the title of their "news Release" (picture enclosed): CNOC is Very concerned about the Latests CRTC Whilesale Serices Rate Decisions
My jaw dropped. I wonder how long that has been there like that? Since November?
I see that Ebox still isn't a member of CNOC, »cnoc.ca/pages/membership_list, is this a good thing? Or is membership too expensive for them?
So what is new at CNOC? What is their latest action plans to reverse previously made bad decisions over the years at the CRTC?
How are they going to deliver IPTV over Bell lines? Are they any closer to this objective? More action to come very shortly?
Anyone have some info or any news about this consortium, other than their filings at the CRTC?
Why have their membership not grown at all? |

| CNOC is not a public organisation. What happens in their boardroom stays in their boardroom.
I have learned (the hard way) that there is no point questioning them, their motives or their strategy.
They are more effective and have a bigger voice at the CRTC and government than CAIP ever had. The downside is that they are far less communicative.
They do not claim to represent consumers so you cannot judge them based on their lack of commuication with consumers. |

 | How much does it cost to be a member?
Why hasn't Ebox bothered with them?
Or are members chosen based on how teksavvy or Bill Saniford likes you? |

I've heard that you have to go through the initiation ritual to join. Who know what that might entail ...... |
