I recently had a problem playing a Blue Ray DVD. I had to update the firmware in the Blue Ray in order to play the disc. Some time ago an article in a video magazine mentioned that the firmware in TV's with HDMI might have to have their firmware updated in order to continue using the connection. HDMI is a DRM-laden protocol.

Sometimes the Digital Restrictions Management handshake between the connected devices either doesn't work correctly or is taking too long to complete. After a certain period of time, the message is shown, informing you that the DRM handshake attempt has failed and is being retried.

It has a OK button to dismiss the message..

it only pops up when I turn on the TV. Any idea why this pops up?
