Yep! One example: lots of programs embed the IE engine to display web content. (In some cases, the entire program's interface is actually an embedded webpage!) Also, many programs can automatically open links in your non-default browser. SpywareBlaster can help protect you in these cases as well. (And, as always, it doesn't slow anything down or run in the background, so there's no downside.)
That all said, full Google Chrome support is indeed coming. Stay tuned!
