 | Sonicwall TZ 210 POFS Does anyone have any experience with the sonicwall TZ210? We installed a gigabit link at a customers location and this thing can't handle the speeds. The specs show it at 200mbps but this thing can't even push 1 mbps. |

1 edit | yea with all the gateway services turned on you should be capped at about 50mbps, but this is not counting in other internal traffic going through the device, so if they are using it as a switch it possible to see lower speeds, but 1mbps is very low
change it to performance optimized and try a speed test again »dl.dropbox.com/u/32024863/sw.jpg
its only rated at 200mbps with no services on and only as a firewall |

 | Something doesn't seem right about that. I've got a TZ-100 yes 100 at a gateway with antivirus and intrusion prevention running. I've got 25MB running through it and 40IP's on it. I DO see CPU usage sometimes at 20 percent, but, I've NEVER seen the unit backdown as far as speed and throughput |

Is this test being run PC to PC or a PC out to a test site on the internet, like speedtest.net?
What happens if you hook direct to your ISP connection with a laptop bypassing the router?
I would suggest also make sure you have the lastest firmware...
The ports ont the Tz-210 are up to 100 meg FDX not gigbit capable is the device your hooking to able to autonegotiate down to slower speeds I would check any errors on the ports... -- »www.accelwireless.com ComTrain Certified Tower Climber. Wireless and IT consultant. Proficient in Mikrotik |
