webapp creation

I want to make a website dedicated for smartphone and tablette.

I normaly use notpad to code html/php, but this time I prefer an easier and faster way of doing it.

Is there a software that can create template and web site contant (witch will be a locally accessible site only)?

I saw some web site selling smartphone compatible template. is it easy to adapte those template?

Is there something like RVsiteBuilder, but for smartphone?

Thanks for all your help

I dont know what's easier than Netbeans or Notepad++

I use both and they are pretty good and easy to follow, i prefer Netbeans over Notepad++

For mobile templates, you are gonna need some JavaScript, this way you can get the kind of device accessing it and properly the best suiting CSS for whatever device is accessing the site.

Check out Sencha.com, i've been using ExtJS for quite some time and they also have SenchaTouch, which is a framework for mobile devices that auto fit to the screen size without messing up your ratios. I havent worked with it yet, but it looked very promising from what they showed in the conference.

I use phpDesigner 8 »www.mpsoftware.dk/ Michael is very nice and his prices for such a diverse IDE is excellent. If you play around with his free trial and want to try it longer just give him an email. He let me try it for 45 days once because I was saving up to buy the commercial edition.
