| area latency outage I was told in early December my internet problem was that Windstream had known since February 2011 they needed a new line to provide enough bandwidth to relieve latency issues in my area of Hazard , Ky. and that i could expect it to be fixed by jan 16, 2012 . then in late december i was told i was part of a new area latency issue that would be fixed by jan 31 , 2012 . now they tell me they have no clue that there has never been an estimated time posted concerning the outage . MY problems started in march 2011 and it will soon be a year of excuses . id just like to know from someone that knows if and when i can reasonably expect the issues to be resolved . |

kudos:28 | You were told correctly, there is an area wide latency outage in your area. On a good note we have been actively working to get it it resolved as soon as possible. A new DSLAM has already been installed and is currently being connected to the Fiber ring that we have been working on in the area. Once that is completed we will begin moving customers over to the new equipment. Worst case scenario you should be good to go by the end of March. If all goes exactly according to plan we may be done a couple weeks earlier than that.
