Century Link IPs changed , now unstable?

Yesterday my dsl dropped for the first time in months, my ip changed from a 75.xx.xx to a 71.xx.xx now every few hours i have no internet and my connection drops and i have to reboot things to get it back. I have been a customer for many many years and the only reason i have stayed with them is dependable service. If this continues I will move to another ISP asap. I am used to good service, NOT, good speed but dependable good service. if they cant supply that anymore with their newly soon to be enforced caps. Then i am gone with my dsl and phone service. this is not what I expected from the merger.

This happens anytime an ISP changes IP blocks. Though unless you have a static IP, this shouldn't matter.

Really doubt its the IP causing you the issue. If you're rebooting the modem to get back on line then probably line errors are building up and by re-booting the modem you're clearing them out.

Call support instead of pulling your hair out.

yeah it dropped again this AM, this never happens (usually) and it seems to be going off at LEAST 1-4 times per day. i don't think anyone at support cares , as long as it is working when i call. it appears that after many many years with qwest / CL, Ill have to change ISPs to get reliable service. like i said this has been super stable for years till yesterday.
