Killing sheep
Barber shop That's actually a good idea, I have been meaning to show my old druid some attention. He'd love the ability to be a chettah, bird, bear, panther, tree, be invisible, etc. |

 | reply to saillaw Ouch ouch ouch. I started P90X recently and my abs ache. But this thread made me LOL enough to make it hurt bad. It is funny thinking of someone accidentally greifing a whole group with folks cursing left and right at him and he cannot even read yet. Although I would be pissed if he ever caused me a wipe or gave away a 3-0 WSG to the other guys because he was clowning around. But the idea of a bunch of elitists being bested by a 4 year old made my abs hurt just laughing about it. |

I guess when he wants to do a BG or dungeon I may give him a little less freedom and try to make him at least not interfere with other players enjoyment. On a side note... am I a bad dad for not having taught my daughter anything about using a computer by this age? I mean I see all these threads on forums and reddit and stuff and it's just strange... the kid can (kind of) operate an iPhone/iPad to play/pause/stop a video but other than that... Not one bit, my daughter is four as well and i "tried" to keep her away from the computer at first thinking she would be better off playing outside and playing with play dough, painting ,anything other than video games.
I finally came to the realization that its a different world out there now and the faster she learned computer skills, the easier time she would have in school.
Funny thing is, she learned how to work the pc and ipad on her own by just messing with it. I put all her stuff under Favorites and she can find her stuff without any problems. World has changed man. |

| reply to Josof They learn fast, I don't think its a matter of them falling behind. I think the problem is their complete lack of ability to take things in moderation at that age. Once they find out how much fun can be had on the computer they will always want to be on it. That is what I was suggesting you try and delay if possible. |

OmegaDisplaced OhioanPremium join:2002-07-30 Cheyenne, WY | reply to saillaw You should stay out of LFD. You are ruining the playing experience of other players (even if it isn't max level). It sounds like your kid doesn't even know the difference between a dungeon and an inn, so why bring him to the dungeon?
Or bring his character to a lower level dungeon that he can solo. Clearly he doesn't grasp the concept of XP. -- What smells like blue? |

| I only let him do dungeons when he is sitting with me and my intent was to guide him to get him to follow the group and contribute. It's like hearding cats though since he so easily gets distracted and doesnt want to wait for the pull, etc. So, I've stopped doing that.
Last night he was happy to one shot crabs and murclocs on longshore for an hour. Although he did manage to drown twice.
It really makes me wonder about some of the other toons I've seen over the years and makes me hope I was patient to what was probably IRL a young kid. |

Heh, that made me chuckle. To be so easily amused again... |

 | reply to saillaw I remember the first time i picked up a fishing pole. It was magical. I thought "This is so fun I could do it for hours at a time, several days in a row." Yeah, I take that thought back now. I will stick to killing crabs along side your kid... wait, that sounded bad. |
