| Optik TV and gaming ( xbox ) question. Hi All,
I have the telus turbo 25 ( speeds i am getting ) tested from my PC so i am guessing the xbox gets the same speeds?
I am curious, do the set top boxes hinder the speed when the xbox is online ( gaming ) is this when QOS kicks in and does turning off the set top boxes offer any benefit while gaming?
My challenge really seems to be that what i see gaming and what is happening is not consistent and does not equal the game play. When i was on shaw, gaming seemed to be not even a second thought, other then outages i gaming was consistent for speeds.
On telus even with Turbo 25 ( YouTube, Surfing etc ) it is great, however during gaming it seems i am 3 seconds behind the play. ( My tv is in game mode lol )
The speed test i showed is locally, if i do a speed test to somewhere in the USA ping is very high, 160 - 200ms, gaming on the xbox i do connect to 50ms servers just fine, is it my route to the 50ms server that kills me and adds 3 second delay ( latency ) ?
I am lost, frustrated and confused ( as it shows in my questions )
I suppose at the end of the day, i am trying to figure out why all multiplayer games on the xbox i always feel 3 seconds behind the play on Telus and on Shaw, i was equal or faster and i am looking to see if there is something i can do on my end. *Challenged* |
