[GOLF] Tiger, Michael Vick most hated athletesTiger Woods tied Michael Vick, the dog killer, as the most hated athlete in America. Quite a fall from most admired to most hated. » english.chosun.com/site/ ··· 033.htmlTiger Woods, one of America's favorite sports stars until a few years ago, is now the most disliked athlete in the U.S., Forbes magazine reported on Wednesday, citing the result of a poll by market research firms Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research.
The results show that Woods, along with NFL player Michael Vick, are the least liked sports personalities in the country, garnering a combined total of 60 percent of the votes.
Equal numbers of respondents showed their disapproval of Woods and Vick, but the American football star had a higher percentage of people who ticked the box saying they "very disliked" him. » sports.yahoo.com/top/new ··· s_020712The top five:
1. Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) Pct. Dislike: 60% 2. Tiger Woods (Golf) Pct. Dislike: 60% 3. Plaxico Burress, New York Jets (NFL) Pct. Dislike: 56% 4. Ndamukong Suh, Detroit Lions (NFL) Pct. Dislike: 51% 5. Kris Humphries, New Jersey Nets (NBA) Pct. Dislike: 50% |

I've never understood why people hate on Burress. He didn't do anything intentionally wrong like the others, he just goofed up and shot himself in the leg. |

'Hate' was not a poll choice. The worst was 'very dislike'. Not a white face in the bunch, either-- at least no one who writes 'Caucasian' on their medical forms.
Kris Humphries: He's only on the list because of that Kardashian/reality show/wedding nonsense. If it weren't for that, most of the voters wouldn't have known him from Adam.
A perfect example of how pointless and worthless polls are. |

Suh will get over this in time, he just needs to clean up his act. People will forget all about what Tiger did if he starts winning again. I don't know who Humphries is. Fuck Vick, the dog-torturing bastard. |

Time erases memories. Ray Lewis isn't on the list. Neither is Mark Chmura. |

I've seen similar lists before. (Not necessarily sports related in all cases). But what I found amusing was that in some 'polls', certain people were not only the "most hated", but the "most liked" at the same time. Heh...go figure. Oh, and: said by footballdude:I've never understood why people hate on Burress. The fact that Pats fans are stunned yet again (and there are a lot of them), and it was Burress who caught the game winning TD in the first Giants/Pats SB may have something to do with that. |

February tournaments are not what greatness and legends are made from. Woods didn't want to play with a bunch of amateur partners in the group-- has he ever even played this tournament before? Being there was partly honing his game and partly another half-hearted effort to repair his image.
He's still fine-tuning that game, according to him. (He currently brings his 'B-minus game', maybe?) I don't know how many tournaments he's likely to play before April, but his Masters performance and then beyond into the summer will be much more accurate gauges as to where he now stands at this point in his career. |
