gord27 join:2005-05-01 Mississauga, ON | anyone else on 25mb get their bill yet? i haven't seen the bill yet but my cc got dinged 74.60 (or thereabouts). it was previously 82.98 so it would appear i'm being charged the $8 modem rental? my math ain't great but 82.98-74.60 is NOT $15+ that i should have been saving...
now where's that bill? |
|
 | I'm on cable but was charged and with no bill, also found the amount I was charged was a bit too much, have posted in the direct forum about it |

| reply to gord27 Got one (I have two lines). Bill shows the $8 modem fee. Asked about it in the direct forum and was told that accounting would look into it and get back to me. Some people are being told by TSI that they will be charged the $8 fee and some people are being told that they won't. Both sets of people are accounts that existed before the new pricing was announced.
That was on Monday... Oh and they also are charging me $4 for MLPPP and $4 for static IP which should be combined for a total of $4 instead of $8.
Sounds like they have some accounting anomalies to get sorted out.
Frankly if they are going to charge me the fee for the modem I want a credit until they get me a modem that works! |

| reply to gord27 As I stated in another thread, when I called yesterday to inquire about my post Feb 2nd 25/7 invoice, I was told that the $8 modem rental fee would be included on my bill. I asked the accounting rep if she was sure that the $8 fee was to be applied to existing customers of the 25/7 service and she told me that as far as she knew it was being applied to ALL 25/7 customers, regardless of when they signed up.
Although the 300GB capped 25/7 service DID decrease in price, like many others, I thought it was dropping a full $15. It would seem that once again, Teksavvy has done a poor job of communicating to their customers. |

 | reply to gord27 Are they going to follow in the footsteps of the incumbents and put a bunch of bs extra charges on peoples bills and only fix them if you call in and fight? |
|
 | reply to jcorcoran That is unacceptable. May be time to start looking elsewhere. |

gord27 join:2005-05-01 Mississauga, ON | reply to gord27 hmm, thanks for the replies. i was sure i read somewhere that the $8 modem fee only applied to new signups... this is getting ridiculous. the natives are restless. wtf is teksavvy in all of this? all it would take is a single post explaining all of this and we'd all be content. |

| Thats what TSIDavidf Told me in the direct forums that the new fee only applied to new signups, and also the teksavvy pricing faq alludes to it as well but the wording is very Open to lawyerze interpretations -- Every time Someone leaves Sympatico an Angel gets its wings.

 | Teksavvy even removed the pricing faq from their web site. The lack of open and official communication from Teksavvy since February 2 is unacceptable. They're getting more and more like Bell with telling customers one thing and doing something completely different. |

Apparently there were some inaccuracies with the way accounting changes were implemented. We are sorting it out now, it'll be put back. |

Apparently there were some inaccuracies with the way accounting changes were implemented. We are sorting it out now, it'll be put back. It'd be nice to know if one of those "inaccuracies" was regarding who gets charged the $8 modem rental. |

tolwyn join:2002-12-30 Beaconsfield, QC | reply to TSI Martin I've got to say, that asa a recent ex-Bell internet customer, I've been very happy with the level of support and responsiveness both in this forum and whenever I call. Now, I may not be thrilled with some of the changes to plans, but it is still my choice to stay or go. Maybe I missed the 'heyday' of TS, but you'd never, never see this level of openness and transparency (even if some people don't think it's enough) at Bell or Rogers... Can you imagine someone from Bell coming online and saying that they prefer to stay on a site where negative feedback against them 'doesn't mysteriously disappear'? |
