It doesn't matter what happens when the grass is green, but when the leaves are brown.

I remember when a series against the Washington Senators was looked upon as a "rest break"..

Last at bat as a Red Sox was a triple at Fenway. Good for him. Hope he has a better relationship with the White Sox manager.

I feel like the Sox are trying to lose me as a fan. :/ Who next, Ortiz, Lester, Pedey?

They'll trade off Ortiz in the off season. Bobby V will be gone as well.

Count President Obama among those White Sox fans happy to have Kevin Youkilis at the hot corner on the South Side.

Obama, never shy about talking sports, was in Boston's Symphony Hall for a campaign fundraiser Monday night when near the end of his speech, he just couldn't resist.

"Finally, Boston, I just want to say – thank you for Youkilis," he said. "I'm just saying, he had to change the color of his 'Sox' (laughs)".

Obama's joke was received at first with laughter, but then seemed to turn to a mix of "boos".

"I didn't think I'd get any boos out of here," Obama said smiling. My mistake, my mistake. You've got to know your crowd."

Hey Mr. President, are you sure they weren't saying "Yoooouk!"?

NEVER mix religion and politics.

Also, out of last place. Six and a half out of first, but not last.

...Could be tied for 3rd, by later this evening.... I'll bet Darnell's ribs will be sore from that leap in the 9th.

D. Ortiz to All-Star team.

That's it.

No one else.

I thought Saltalim Saltolo Saltilmik the catcher might make back up squad.

Swept by Oakland?

Some guy named Coco Crisp had a good game for the A's.

Papi hits #400!

Yankees on Friday.

One out of four is this season...

I (and I suspect a good many) really would love to know what infected the Sox clubhouse last September, because they certainly haven't been able to shake that, yet.

*sigh*
I certainly don't know and hope it's nothing leftover from last year's ugly.
As a fan, I'm still not happy with what happened to Tito, but I'm not going to start the fires to burn Bobby V yet. BV has some passion and the Gum Ejection is a classic.

I'd hope someone, something would rattle the teams cage to, you know, make them a good team. I hope D. Ortiz can help to rally whats left. Injuries and not so great pitching are the death knell of any team...

On a lighter note, I've seen a few Cape League games.
Some good pitching but nothing to rave about. Some good hitting and infield but nothing to put a big impression on me. I like to look for the Scouts. Radar Gun tech has gotten smaller this year. It may be more well known now, but it's till good baseball for the $5 I drop in the box to see a game.

What are the last two words of the National Anthem?
