 | need help with Samsung H3090 this is the 3rd pvr we have had in 10 years - good thing is that it is very quiet
bad:
1)need help with setting up series - it randomly decides to record or not record. I put in record all or record new and I am lucky to get the show.
2) if there is a conflict - do I have to do anything? or will it just record what it says? do I have to delete the conflicted shows or will this not make any difference?
3) recording log - is not in date order; jumps all over from 1/30 to WED? and where can I find out what the codes mean ? (e.g. 1, 0, 4 etc.)
4) I say to 'record all showings' and it does not do it?

|
 | I have resolved the conflicts - have 2 shows that will record and 1 show that will not record.
That is what shows on my 'list' - never had a problem before with this - just left it and the 2 recorded and the 1 did not and it was noted in the recording log.
so now do I have to actually delete the one that I already said 'do not record' ? I figured that it would just stay and then the box would automatically delete it after it recorded the 2 good ones. |

| reply to larafl Well if all 3 shows fall within the same timeframe only 2 will record anyway assuming of course you aren't watching a different channel at the time these things are recording in which case you have already limited yourself to just one tuner for recording. You can record two while watching a pre-recorded 3rd. |
|
 | I agree with what you said.
How can I make sure that the 3rd show will record, the next time it is broadcast? I have put 'record all showings' on the dvr; have fixed the conflicts on the 'scheduled recordings' - is there anything else I have to do? |

BHNtechXpertBHN StaffPremium,VIP join:2006-02-16 Saint Petersburg, FL kudos:32 | reply to larafl No..so long as you aren't using all of the tuners at the time the scheduled recording is to take place you should be fine. |
|
 | thank you - I hope it works |

 | You are not going to believe this:
I fixed every conflict and since Monday (today) is really the worst day, because there are so many good shows that I want to watch, decided to check yesterday (Sunday) - every conflict was BACK on my scheduled recording list - so I resolved them one by one again. Just checked at 9A and they are all back - HELP. How can I stop this problem? I understand that only 2 can record at the same time, but I can watch CBS shows on another TV in the house, if they are not recording; but since the DVR seems to refresh itself each nite, I am at a loss - any ideas? |
