I couldn't believe the nut I had on the phone.
Was on hold for a good 30-minutes.
American girl answers and... wow man...
She says: What state are you from? me: Quebec her: What state? Me: Quebec her: I see. Can you spell that? Me: Q U E B E C her: did you say Q U E E E C? Me: No. B like bob. Her: I see. ok Qwaybec. That is your providence Me: My providence? yeah, that's it. sigh.
Let's not get started on ZIP code, city name or street name... That totally blew her away.
I expect I will have to recall them in a couple of weeks since I don't expect the part after giving my address to that nutbar. I just ordered my replacement part online at »www.tassimosafetyrecall.com/index.html
No waiting on hold, or speaking to incompetent Americans... |

I like Tassimo. I won a brewer from them a year or two ago off a twitter content. Didn't use it much. Made the occasional hot chocolate or espresso. It's also great for cup of noodles Just use the service t-disc instead of a real one and it creates and pours nothing but very hot water. It's way faster than using my stove.
I've been using it a lot more lately with this Gevalia coffee i got too. It's really good and during a promotion I managed to get a huge haul of t-discs for free. |

hm @videotron.ca | Eh I just got a call, i think it was from... of all places Costco telling me to bring the T-disks we bought back to them for an exchange.
Or to use tassimo's website for replacements. |

It's less than 4 feet of vertical pipe from our kitchen sink drain to a 3" pipe that's designed to carry 'solids'. I always wash the espresso grounds ( very fine ) down the drain, but throw the regular coffee grinds in a container that we put in the garden. The bacteria in our septic tank prefer a bold espresso roast; keeps them awake and working all night |

I and my family have been pouring coffee grounds down the sink for well over a half a century now with no blockages. Your father probably was dumb enough to pour his bacon grease down the drain too. THAT'S what caused the blockage.
Usually 99% of the time, blocked drains are a buildup of accumulated grease and hair. Coffee grounds have no trouble whatsoever going thru well maintained pipes.
As far as pouring solids down the drain goes, what do you think your poop is? Or do you have chronic diarrhea? |

| First of all, coffee grinds and paper filters go into compost bins summer or winter. Not much happens in winter, but come spring, that thing activates and gets hot while that food is digested.
Secondly, there is nothing wrong with coffee down the drain, you just have to ensure you run the water long enough to get the grinds flowing past the S bend and down the pipes instead of accumulating in the S bend. |

On the tassimo safety recall site (»www.tassimosafetyrecall.com) you can see all the effected t-discs. Luckily it looks like my Gevalia Dark House Blend is not effected. My tassimo machine itself was though, so I have ordered the replacement part. |
