[Thunderbird] A way to sort ALL messages by date?

Thunderbird 9.0 ?
I've been asked to help someone find a message they got 3 months ago. It's in 1 of about 100 folders in the Inbox. No idea which one of those folders. Or maybe in some nested sub-folder. Is there some way to search the entire Inbox and all its folders by date? Sender = unknown. Subject = unknown.

Well, there's the Search Messages (Ctrl+Shift+F, also under Edit→Find) function (select the high-level account from the drop down, use 2 date rules--one for after the earlier date and one for before the later date--to define a range):

That'll search through all 100+ folders at one time?

It'll search through every folder in that account (keep 'Search subfolders' checked [default]).
