Sagem 1704 sleep mode?

The router/modem works fine when I am accessing the internet. If I don't access the internet for about 1/2 hour or so, the router acts as if its sleeping and I cannot access the internet. (my computer is not on power save or otherwise dormant during this time) Also, all the lights on the router are still green.

The network map on my computer shows connection between computer and router is enabled, but shows that the conection between router and the internet is disabled.

I called Windstream tech help, and they sent a signal to the router and connection was restored. I can also restore connection by power off then power on the router.

This has occurred several times and I am wondering if the router has a "sleep" option that can be reconfigured.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

The 1704 does not have a sleep setting.

"Do you have the dial on demand option enabled"

This I don't know. I would assume that Windstream would supply the unit where I didn't have to fiddle with it.

How would I check it anyway? I know where to get the 1704 manual, it's probably in there.

BTW. I am using ethernet cable connections. Not using a wireless network.

Have a look at the wan service pages
You can also enable ppp debug mode and check the modems log for error messages
