OBi100 / Obi110 in Canada ?

This looks interesting. ?
»obihai.com/docs/ObihaiBrochure.pdf
Has anyone had good success with OBi100 with freephoneline.ca, or voip.ms, ..., in Canada ?
Basically, I want to set it up, as a Voip-ATA, with our "plain-jane" Cordless-Phone.

Thanks ahead.

I have the Obi100 using with FreePhoneLine in Mississauga. Tested it for 6months before have the Bell landline removed. Has worked flawlessly. Have SP1 (primary) setup with FPL. Have SP2 setup with Google Voice for free outbound calling to North America. Very satisfied.

Testing all functionality completely including 3-way calling.

ok, so its one Obi100 per phone/voip-line, it's not dual-ported-voip.

mmm, then again, it's hard to trust an "anonymous" salesman like yourself, isn't it ?

ty.

So where do you get it from, in Canada ?, I looked on amazon.ca, but it only show the 3rd-party distributer..., and of course the price here, is TWICE as much as it is in the States. -Lol.

No salesman here. Just a satisfied customer.

A single Obi100 support 2 voip lines.

Ordered from amazon.com. They shipped to Canada with reasonable shipping charges. Even got a refund 2 months after the order for over-estimated shipping/border costs. I think the total was around $47 Canadian to my door.

The OBi100 and OBi110 have only one FXS port (RJ11 phone jack), but supports two accounts (SIP or Google Voice). The account on SP1 is normally the default and SP2 is accessed using **2 for outgoing calls. Incoming calls to SP1 or SP2 are routed to the one FXS port.

The OBi202, rumored for release in March, does have two FXS ports, providing two separate lines. Unknown at this time is if each FXS port will support two accounts as the OBi100 and OBi110 do or one account per line/FXS port.

They won't ship to Canada for me. What's the trick?

I read in another thread that you need to go to the Buying Choices and select the one that is sold and shipped by Amazon to get shipping to Canada.

You can buy OBi100 / Obi110 in amazon.ca now if you don't mind pay MUCH HIGHER PRICE. The good thing is you get it faster since they ship from Canada.

Hmmm, not sure if this violates terms, as I don't believe it's a "VoIP service link", but Amazon.ca doesn't seem to have any right now.

This particular Amazon.com (US) link, fulfilled by Amazon proper, will work and IS shippable to Canada, was about $70 to the door:

The Summary looked as follows:

Order Summary
Items: $50.47
Shipping & Handling: $9.98
________________________________________
Total Before Tax: $60.45
Estimated Tax To Be Collected: $0.00
Import Fees Deposit
$6.76
________________________________________
Order Total: $67.21

Cheers!!

Works great for me here - using a OBI100 with Anveo on the main SIP line and google voice for the secondary, with voip.ms and callcentric added in as extra outgoing providers.

They have excellent support and seem to be iterating quite frequently on firmware updates.
