There simply are no excuses for this kind of behaviour on any job excluding porno acting and prostitution.
I'd suggest they both seek other employment in either of these booming fields of endeavor and stay the hell out of police work. +1

RCMP members and officers have no legal right to be represented by a union, they're in fact specifically prohibited from doing so in the RCMP Act. |

----------------- RCMP Association
Our Mission
The Mounted Police Professional Association of Canada is comprised of regular and civilian members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. We provide a forum to identify, debate and reach consensus on professional and employment concerns. We seek the right to engage in free collective bargaining with our employer, a right enjoyed by all police officers in Canada, except the RCMP. We strive for excellence in our conduct and obligations. We provide leadership, in affiliation with the Canadian Police Association, on justice issues which affect the quality of life of all Canadians.
Association Profile
We are a professional association looking out for the interests of employees of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Association Background
The Mounted Police Professional Association of Canada ("MPPAC") was formed to unify Force members in order to protect and advance the interests of our profession. The BCMPPA was incorporated under the laws of British Columbia as a non-profit society on September 26, 1994. There are similar Associations in "O" and "C" Divisions. The BCMPPA currently has a membership of approximately 500 members from across the province. Nationally the 3 Associations have a membership of approximately 2200. |

A prohibition that was struck down by the Ontario Superior Court in 2009 and is presently under appeal.
Having said that, you are right that they do not have a union. The Mounted Police Association may look like a duck, but it does not quack like a duck outside of its own imagination.
What is closer to a union is the Staff Relations Representative Program, but again, given management's involvement in and control of the program, it can hardly be considered a union. |

 | reply to lugnut I'd never pay 10 days worth of pay for sex. The Mountie must be made of money....... or she was really good.
Of course if you're married, the cost of sex skyrockets. |

Doesn't this happen with Canadian prime ministers too, or are they too inhibited? Canadian Prime Ministers are not allowed to have sex as we hold them to a higher standard
