Hello, moved into a new place. Looks like someone had previous got a little rough with the valve, and the black piece is broken and leaking in a corner. Unfortunately there are no markings or name that I can see on anything to identify the brand or find replacement parts. Any ideas on brand name and specific names for these parts?

Thanks a bunch in advanced!

I replaced these parts last year. I saved the old parts (for no real reason...until now). I initially thought they were the same as yours, but not quite.

Your black broken part is Called a mixer valve or perhaps rite-temp mixer cap. My part is a kohler gp77886. But there are a lot of real pipe fitters here that may be able to identify it.

Home Depot or Lowes won't carry it. I had to go to a plumbing supply.

Sometimes the same brand of fixtures are used for lavatories, etc. when a house is built. Are there any brand identifiers on the other fixtures or maybe in a different bathroom? Knowing that might narrow your supply house search. I would not be surprised if someone in a plumbing supply house could identify your valve by looking at the picture and your parts.

Sure looks like a Kohler, but all the kohler valves I`ve ever met had a brass center stem, not white plastic.

Looks like you got a knock-off brand.. I`d agree with bkjohnson, take the parts to a supply house, or at worst to Lowes/depot. Only way to go is match em up..

good luck

On your fourth photograph in the upper right it looks like there is some lettering cast into the valve, you might want to pull the trim and see what it indicates.

BTW bare footed eh?

Take it to a large ACE hardware. They carry all kinds of stems, valves and parts for faucets.

It's price pfister (or just pfister now) georgetown collection »www.pfisterfaucets.com/Bath/Prod···PBC.aspx The grey part is the pressure balance cartridge, probably 974-291 as that's used on lots of their faucets.

All of their faucets have a lifetime warranty and if you call the 1-800 number they should ship you whatever parts you need for free.

Hello, Just to update, we think we identified it was Glacier Bay/Pegasus however, we still have not really been able to identify or find the part. I think pfaucet may be on to something to with it being a pfister product. That grey pressure balance cartridge matches up perfectly, however, we need the black sleeve threaded circular part, which is basically a housing to the stem. Any other ideas?

I still think it's price pfister because of the cartridge »s7d1.scene7.com/is/content/Pfister/ex-0x8-01 that's a parts explosion of the valve and cartridge assembly 974-230 looks like what you need (should still be free, if you call they're usually very helpful with finding and identifying the parts you need.)

I've only ever seen that cartridge on pf, glacier bay are usually white plastic. If that is a glacier bay faucet you might be SOL on parts depending on the model.

Just an update, I contacted pfister with the information gathered from pfaucet, and they are sending out the new part for free as a one time courtesy! Thank you for the assistance. Thanks pfaucet for the information you found
