| Usage meters coming? Once a month i log on to Telus.com to check my e-bill and usually i check the internet usage just to make sure i'm at 0% of 500GB... I looked today and the usage link is gone. Did Telus remove it because it's not needed or did they remove it because it is being updated to be implemented? Does anyone know. I'm not afraid of going over 500GB per month (did 4 TB one month to fill up my new NAS but have no need for that much at a time, well until i get bigger storage i guess). Just hoping it's not ever going to be monitored, especially with some of the articles i've read on this site about other isp's. |

| No one knows for sure (I don't think), but telus' track record has been pretty hands off on cap enforcement. I think they gave it a go around 2005/2006 for a little bit, then gave up.
There was an article that said the telus ceo (or some higher up ceo) said telus was considering it, but the quote had absolutely nothing to do with UBB. It was pretty unsubstantiated.
They might of considered it before shaw came out with their new superfast packages with large caps. I think shaw offered some competitition, so I'm guessing any plans they might of had got flushd down the toilet when the happened.
I guess there's nothing to stop them from offer packages with different bandwidth, but telus is behind the eightball with interent speeds, so unlimited bandwidth is sort of all they have |
