What are Shaw's REAL prices?

No BS new customer stuff, no modem rentals or bundles or any of that crap.

I just want a simple list of prices for the different tiers of internet only everyday customers.

I don't know whats so hard to find about »shaw.ca/Internet/

HS10 $45
HS20 $55
BB50 $65
BB100 $84.90
BB250 $114.90

HS10/20 come with free MODEM or a Router rental @ $3.95. Or if you are on SPP the rental is free.

BB50/100/250 include router rental.

* Offer subject to Change. Introductory promotional offer(s) available to new customers only, customers who have not been subscribed to Shaw Internet service in the past 90 days.

All those prices you listed have an asterisk next to them and at the bottom of the page it says the above.

How about this one: »shaw.ca/Internet/Compare-Plans/

Not an asterisk in sight!

What do you want me to say? Those are the regular prices, I've been a customer of 3+ years now and that's what I pay...

That just says introductory promos only if you haven't been a customer of said product for 90 days.

So if you aren't a customer those prices are lower then advertised?

For a few months, depending on the new customer promo, yes.

Like everyone else posted above:

»shaw.ca/Internet/Compare-Plans/

The prices are the real prices. I think the asterisk is worded poorly, if there were promotions they would only be good if you weren't a customer. The prices on that page are the prices. There are no other prices.

@74.198.150.x

Friend of mine recently signed up for shaw and he Got unbelievable plan for 1 year. For 50$ a month they gave him BB50, home phone, and 25 HD channels... When I asked How ? He said a co worker had a friend working for shaw who hooked him up. This is pretty rediculous since I'm paying double the price for similar services. Shaw can afford a great offer, as long as you know ppl who work in there...

@telus.net

Forgot to mention that they also gave him the 300$ HD box for free, without a single rental fee. Im my mind, this is probably the absolute maximum Shaw can offer you at any time, in BC.

»shaw.ca/Bundles/ is where I go to check prices most of the time. If you use the »shawpersonalizer.ca you can pick your package for whatever service level you want with all the prices built in.

There are promotions of course for different products; so I would recommend starting with the Shaw Personalizer, then contacting a Sales agent at www.shaw.ca/chat to go over everything.

I have sent feedback to Shaw marketing in the past because their current advertising is not compliant with the (voluntary) CMA Code of Ethics & Standards. Notably, a lot of their print advertising has disclaimers that refer to content that is not on the print ad itself and requires the reader to visit shaw.ca or call Shaw sales.

I think Shaw would benefit a lot from streamlining their pricing and making it more obvious.

I have to wonder if anyone falls for the Unlimited Lite plan? $74/mo for 1Mbps (approximately 320GB if maxed 24/7) vs. $65/mo for BB50 with 400GB ..

There maybe some very special case scenarios where someone might want unlimited lite?

What those might be elude me.
