"The results of fifty-two million end-user speed tests have shown Canada as a global contender in Broadband Internet performance, ranking often in the top ten of international countries, according to a new report by LEMAY-YATES ASSOCIATES Inc."

 | I think is paragraph tells it.
quote: This study was sponsored by Rogers Communications Inc., a leading Canadian telecommunications carrier. LYA found that not only does Canada rank amongst worlds best in Internet cost and performance, but the average Rogers broadband subscriber:
So a study of Canadian internet compared to the rest of the world sponsored by a Canadian internet provider would naturally show that provider to be better, and that Canadian providers are better in general.
End conclusion - there's no need for any more regulations, let us do UBB or we'll lose our rankings, and we need low caps (Shaw's caps are way more generous than Bell or Rogers - they're still stuck on caps under 100GB which is why they're so quick to remove throttling devices so you can start anteing up $$$ quicker). |

| reply to ravenchilde I just mentioned this in another post as well, but the Shaw/Telus are much better then Bell/Rogers. They probably pull up the national averages.
I don't think you can get packages like bb50 and bb100 on rogers, and I'm not sure if you can 25mbps speeds on bell? |

 | SCrew BB50/250.
Bell/Rogers' caps are terrible!
Even basic high-speed's 100GB cap on Shaw, something like 30GB on Bell/Rogers.
Nevermind the 250 you get on Extreme, 400GB on BB50, 700+ on BB100 etc.
And the takeaway of that paragraph is also "Rogers is the best provider in Canada". |
