public join:2002-01-19 Santa Clara, CA | [Future9] Future Nine Problem The recommended server name is too long to enter into Milkfish router GUI.
12345678@incoming.future-nine.com
is one character too long. Is there an alternate server name that would work? |

It worked quite well with sip.future-nine.com. Milkfish is actually simple, and allows multiple sip devices behind a nat router with no port forwarding problems. Sadly the gui has this limitation. |

It should- it's the same server. Do a nslookup sip.future-nine.com and let me know what IP address you get. |

ipkall numbers just give busy signal, no ringing |

nitzanPremium,VIP join:2008-02-27 kudos:2 | You need to purchase an incoming phone number to receive calls on the Future Nine network. We do not allow IpKall or any other type of incoming service unless a phone number has been purchased. Domestic outgoing-only accounts are not profitable and we tend to lose money on them when you factor in support cost. |

| said by kun:IIRC, callwithus and callcentric both allow ipkall or other sip uri forwarding. Yes, but to maintain a CallWithUs (CWU) account these days you need to have some funds deposited.
A CallCentric (CC) "IP Freedom" account can be used for free, with no funding needed, no credit card, no 911. »www.callcentric.com/rate_plans01.php
Although that page lists it as an outbound plan, it can equally be used for inbound calling by SIP URI or by Sipbroker.
When setting up CallCentric with an ATA or IP phone, you would specify [callcentric.com]
However, for inbound SIP URI calls, or services such as IPKall, the syntax is [1777xxxxxxx@in.callcentric.com] |
