 | [TWC] Wilmington, NC - Road Runner Turbo slowing down randomly My Road Runner Turbo internet keeps slowing down randomly. I can usually get 20-30 mbps on speedtest.net (1.6 - 2.5 MB/s actually downloading), but at other times I get 5-10 mbps. When this happens, downloads slow down to 150 kb/s - 400 kb/s on all computers, and YouTube videos start to buffer on 480p! I have called TWC many times - The techs tried 4 routers, 3 modems, changing DNS, and running a new outside line - still not fixed. My modem signal/power levels are also OK. (Modem is a Motorola SB5101. My router is also a NETGEAR WNDR3400v2, but problem occurs even without the router.) I seem to be the only one having a problem, as my neighbor (Road Runner Standard) gets a consistent 25-30 mbps 24/7.

| Re: [TWC] Wilmington, NC - Road Runner Turbo slowing down random Having the same issue here too. Just got installed a day or two ago. Pages go slow but i will do a speedtest and pull 30Mb down 5Mb up. Yet youtube videos won't play at 320p. Not entirely sure what's up. | reply to MattH It's not on his end...I've had Extreme for a month and just this week the upload has been down to 1-1.5mbps. The modem config shows the extreme provisioning but no go on the upstream, I'm consistently getting the 30mbps down. On a side note, my CATV HD signals have been in and out for a couple of days as well. I have a tech coming out between 10 and 12......will follow up with his solution if any. |
