Re: SBG6580 and Line Monitoring I posted here in the Motorola forum hoping that someone could help me with the specific gateway model I have.
The users manual for this unit is the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. I've been too busy to take time to figure it out, and now that i have, it is too late to return it for something better.
I should'a listened to the guy at Fry's that tried to steer me away from it.
There is a "WAN Blocking" setting that the terse help page seems to indicate makes you "invisible" to outside requests. So I guess that means it doesn't respond to pings. That seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the help! |
