| [DVR] Customizing Series recording I don't think there's a way to do this on the FiOS 7232, but in case I'm missing something..
If I want to schedule one recurring recording, same time same day each week, of a program which is shown at 4 times over 2 different days, is there some way to do this?
Right now, I can schedule the "time" only, but not the day. If it happens that on both days of its' showing, it plays at the same time, the DVR records both.
I have to either delete it after the fact, or manually cancel the "extra" recording each week.
Other DVR's do allow for specifying a "DAY" in addition to "Scheduled time" which would achieve what is required.
*None of the program entries are tagged as "new".. |

Great work-around.
Although it would be intuitive (expected) if there were an option for day of the week when setting up a series via the guide (normal), your suggestion does work in a logical way.
The one drawback is that looking at your schedule, one may not know exactly what one is recording, since it's labelled as "manual recording". Several series setup like that could cause some confusion rectified by peeking the on-screen guide for the time in question.

When you use "Record Series with Options", the sub-menu has a "Duplicates" setting that you set to "No". |
