That's all a matter of default settings and firmware. In theory, you should be able to load the correct region's firmware on the thing and be on your way -- even the -att IPDSLAM firmware if you can find it. If it's like the old Westell 6100's, you cannot get past the pppoe settings page to change, well, anything until it's connected once. If you're in the wrong region, you'll never be able to get it to connect.
Many people would say $8 is still too much. They're well known for overheating and burning out rather quickly. |
